THE FLUFFY GREEN

A text about the desire to tame wild things. A wall of moss tamed into tiny images.

The Fluffy Green is a constellation of very small closeup photographs of moss that can only be viewed through a magnifying glass – one that my friends gave me specifically for looking at moss – which hangs on a string in the middle of these photos. Next to it is a text in conversation with Robin Wall Kimmerer’s Gathering Moss (2003), touching on the ethics of collecting, also in the form of image making.

Presented during Groot Rotterdams Atelier Weekend (GRAW) 20-21 Sept 2025 at TOT-Filmdak.
